(via Infosthetics) I hate to say it, but this is a terrible idea. The countdown crossing signs are bad enough: drivers watch them and jump off the line when it runs out, expecting a green light, sometimes when it hasn’t actually turned green for them yet. I bet the street racing community would love this, too: it would make their starting line so much more professional to have a countdown instead of just waiting for the light to change.
